Pop diva Madonna is setting up a trust to help Malawi girl Mercy James even if she can't adopt her. The singer wants to make sure the three-year-old gets good education and sees life outside Malawi, reported newsoftheworld.co.uk. "Madonna loves Mercy. She wants to be part of her life and provide for her. She wants to make sure Mercy has everything she needs in life and her dreams are fulfilled," said a source. The 50-year-old is working with her lawyers to set up a trust fund to pay for Mercy's schooling and travel even if the ruling that she can't adopt her still stands. The singer will make sure that the man claiming to be Mercy's father can't get his hands on the cash.

Madonna agrees to let Guy Ritchie care for their children for the summer. Madonna has agreed to let Guy Ritchie care for their children for the summer. The '4 Minutes' singer is to entrust Rocco, eight, and adopted David, four, to the director when she embarks on her European tour in June. Guy is delighted Madonna – who also has a 12–year-old daughter, Lourdes, from a previous relationship – is letting him have the kids, a decision which comes just weeks after the singer won full custody of the boys. A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Guy absolutely dotes on his children and can’t wait to have them for a whole three months. He is surprised and pleased that Madonna is being so generous, as she has at times been impossible. “Madonna will be travelling a lot and agreed it makes sense for them to stay with Guy rather than constantly be uprooted.” Guy, 40, is now frantically renovating his mansion in Wiltshire, South West England, and building a new indoor pool in preparation for the boys. The source added: “He’ll make it a summer they won’t forget.” Meanwhile, Madonna is busy preparing for the next step in her fight to adopt four-year-old Malawian orphan Mercy James. The 50-year-old star's adoption bid was rejected earlier this month because she had not lived in the African nation for 18 months, as is required by law.

Madonna, 50, told the Malawian newspaper the Nation in an email: "I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment and the best education and healthcare possible." "And it's my hope that she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of their country."

Not too shabby! “The townhouse is perfect for Madonna,” a source revealed in Tuesday’s edition of the NY Post. “She’s trying to recreate London in New York City, and this is in the style of a London townhouse.” The townhouse has to undergo a lot of renovations, so don't start stalking Madonna just yet!

Guy Ritchie: 'Madonna is a great mum' A judge at Malawi's High Court in Lilongwe rejected the singer's application to adopt Mercy James, a four-year-old girl, ruling that the child should remain in her home country. In a statement, Ritchie said: 'Madonna is a fantastic and loving mother who cares deeply about her own children, and children who may need additional help and support.' 'I fully supported Madonna in her decision to apply for this adoption, and I am saddened that her application has been rejected. She is motivated only by being a caring parent who seeks to share some of the advantages and opportunities that her life has given her. This time it did not work out, but there will be other opportunities and I wish her well in them. She is a great mum.' Madonna and Ritchie adopted David Banda from Malawi in 2006. The couple divorced last November after an eight-year marriage. He spoke out after Judge Esmie Chondo turned down an interim adoption application which would have allowed Madonna to take Mercy to the United States, pending a permanent decision on her future. The ruling came as a surprise, not least because Malawi's Information Minister had publicly backed the adoption. Judge Chondo said that allowing Madonna, 50, to adopt Mercy could place other children at risk by opening the doors to child traffickers. Malawian law requires prospective parents to be resident in the country for 18-24 months before an adoption is granted. This was waived in the case of David's adoption.

Тем временем на официальном веб-сайте королевы поп-музыки проводится опрос, в результате которого поклонники сами выберут те хиты, которые должны войти в новый сборник.

Напомним, что новый релиз станет последним альбомом, выпущенным Мадонной совместно с компанией Warner Records. В будущем певица будет работать с концертным промоутером Live Nation, 150-миллионный контракт с которым был подписан еще в октябре 2007 года.
